Kristy Higgins
Kristy Higgins is originally from New York and has been a dancer from the time she learned to walk. She has competed in all styles: Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Musical Theater, Ballroom, Latin, and Social Dancing. She started choreographing at a very young age, under the guidance of her father (a director in New York). After many years of training, certifying, award-winning and managing in both NYC and New Jersey, she and her dance partner moved to Oregon to follow the dream of owning her own studio. Her expertise in event planning, dance education, training, coaching, costume design, management, business training, and fundraising has led her to become an entrepreneur in Lake Oswego, Oregon. She is extremely thankful for the support of her family, friends, and students for helping her dream come to fruition. She is honored to be a part of such an amazing community. Her passion for dance is almost as great as her passion for people.

Kristy and Stas won 1st & 2nd place as the Top Teachers in the Caribbean Dancesport Classic in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Step It Up students competing in the event won lots of 1st & 2nd place awards, effectively sweeping their areas of competition.
